1942, Game of the 80s

Here's the link to another nice and interactive game from the 80s, called 1942.

It is the game based on the CLASSIC IDEA of fighting with the enemy aeroplanes.

Interactivity: This game is very interactive and involving. It holds the user's attention in different ways. At times you have to deal with many smaller aeroplanes and at some stage you may also have to deal with bigger aeroplanes. This game only uses five keys i.e. four movement keys and one fire key which is "Z" key.

The spatial arena displays a area where one plane will be yours and there will be many other planes coming from different sides to destroy you with their bullets.

Concept: 1942 is a vertically scrolling shoot 'em up made by Capcom that was released for the arcade in 1984. It was the first game in the 19XX series.

Goal: The goal of the game is to keep moving further while destroying the enemies and protecting yourself from them and their bullets if you can't destroy them.

Challenge: There are some challenging factors in the game which makes it hard and interesting to play the game. While playing you will notice that some of the planes are small and some are big. The big ones are comparatively hard to destroy than the smaller ones. You also get some powers through the game when you accomplish some specific task ( for example, destroy ALL the planes of same colour coming in a queue).

Story: I haven't noticed any story element behind this game.

This game is very challenging...!! Here is the snapshot of the game...!!
